I borrowed this idea from a YouTube build I viewed. It took a single sheet of 3/4″ plywood. I also used laminate flooring for the top, sides, and drawer fronts. It’s relativley cheap to build and sturdy, once installed. I stood on top of the desk after installation with no problems and I am a tad over 230 lbs. In the pictures, it appears that the drawer side of the desk is resting on the floor. The entire desk is supported only by the wakk studs and is not touching the floor.
I placed it next to the wife’s recliner. It is now her catch-all.

Below are the plans I created for the corner desk. Depending on the size of the desk, a single sheet of 3/4″ plywood may build the desk. These plans aren’t exact as I decided to add drawers to one side for extra storage. I didn’t modify the plans for the drawers. I added those measurements on the fly.
I cut edging strips from poplar and applied to the edges of the plywood to hide the layers. The laminate was applied after installing the desk. I used contact cement to attach the laminate flooring to the desk. GRK 5/16-in x 3-1/8-in Polymer Exterior Wood Screws and washers were used to attach the desk to the wall.
