PT – On the Recovery road

Finally reached the 120° should rotation yesterday. (9/6/2022) It was a stretch, but I finally got there. I took my sling off last Friday. My therapist felt that my shoulder was healed and was inhibiting my recovery. As the week progressed, I was able to move my shoulder more easily and without pain. I am finally able to sleep on my side and get off my back.

I have also been dealing with Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR), after my surgery. It flared up the day after surgery and I have had a low-grade fever ever since. My doctor had me on a low dosage of steroids, but it was not doing the job. Yesterday I went on a full-blown prednisone regimen. My sugar readings are going to be high but, maybe it will put the PMR back into remission.

It will still be several months before I am back in the shop and working again. I have several projects in mind when I get back to work

Recovery is slow but, I have a great therapist.
